IRONWOOD - About 40 runners and walkers braved the chilly morning on Saturday to participate in the first ever Honor Our Veterans Walk/Run/Roll. BERGLAND, Mich. - Laura Jane Hill, 97, of Bergland, passed away Thursday, Nov. 7, 2013, at her home. She was born in Eveleth, Minn., on Dec. 28, 1915, to the late George and Laura (Mortenson) Perham. Laura attended schools in Eveleth, Ely and Wolf, Minn. She graduated college from the University of Minnesota. On June 18, 1943, Laura was united in marriage to the late Herman Oscar Hill in Eveleth.
