KNOXVILLE, Iowa - Douglas John Hermle died Nov. 9, 2020. He was born Jan. 4, 1950, in Ottumwa, Iowa, to John and Patricia Hermle. In 1968, he graduated from Ottumwa High School and enlisted in the U.S. Air Force.
