    By RICHARD JENKINS [email protected] BESSEMER — An Ironwood Township man appeared in Gogebic County Circuit Court Wednesday to confess to sexually assaulting a child. Jason Elliot Irvine, 47, pleaded guilty to two counts of criminal sexual conduct-first degree, a crime that carries a potential maximum sentence of life in prison. In exchange for pleading guilty to the two counts, three additional first-degree criminal sexual conduct charges are expected to be dismissed at sentencing.     By RALPH ANSAMI [email protected] BESSEMER — The Gogebic County Board of Commissioners Tuesday agreed to sign the necessary documents for a $6.6 million project at the Gogebic-Iron County Airport. The project will involve resurfacing the runway and lighting improvements, according to board member Jim Oliver, of Ironwood. Gogebic County’s share of the federally-funded project will be 2.5 percent, or around $116,000. Iron County, Wis., will be responsible for the same amount.
