The snow began falling heavily on Thursday, continuing into the weekend, with area schools closing on Friday due to the weather. ESKO, Minn. - Bernard "Tony" Anthony Proft Jr., 75, of Esko, passed away on Nov. 11, 2022, surrounded by his loving family and friends. He was born on Sept. 16, 1947, to Bernard and Helen (Derubeis) Proft in Bessemer, Michigan. Elementary principal Steve Lombardo and middle/high school principal Melissa Oja said they were overall pleased with the scores. GILE, Wis. — On Nov. 15, 2022, after 100 years, Pearl D. Carnetto began her final journey. She was born on Aug. 11, 1922, in Boniface, Michigan, to David P. and Helen A. Galarno.
