She spent summers helping her Aunt Hazel, who owned Pine Hills Resort in Presque Isle. She was married to Joe “Bobo” Vukelich and they had a place on Annabelle Lake in Presque Isle. BESSEMER, Mich. - Roger Boe Smith, 76, of Bessemer, passed away on Jan. 21, 2024. He was born in Pontiac, Michigan, on Oct. 5, 1947, to Arnold and Floyce Smith. Roger joined the U.S. Marine Corps in 1966 and proudly served in Vietnam, where, despite being wounded and contracting malaria, he safely returned home to Michigan.
