HURLEY - The Hurley Midgets barely found their basketball shoes and they were playing one of their biggest games on the schedule Monday. After trailing almost the entire second half, Hurley forced overtime and pulled away for a 67-57 victory over Chequamegon. IRONWOOD - The Historic Ironwood Theatre is hosting a production by the Carnegie Library's Drama Group of 23 actors and three crew members today for around 600 local students. Dress rehearsal was Monday night, with the thespians in full costume and the make-up artist taking notes for the performance. Brett Daniels, a senior at Luther L. WAKEFIELD - The Gogebic County Sheriff's Office held a Gogebic-Iron Area Narcotic Team (GIANT) presentation at the Wakefield City Council meeting Monday night. HOMEWOOD, Ill. — Ruth A. (Gamache) Migalski, 86, a longtime resident of Homewood, passed away Dec. 4, 2013. She was born Feb. 2, 1927. OCONTO FALLS, Wis. - Marion J. Vaughn, 81, Crivitz resident, passed away Sunday, Dec. 8, 2013, at Meadowlands Retirement Community in Oconto Falls. Jacobetti Home for Veterans, where he had resided for the past 11 months. His wife, Gail Marlowe Velin, was with him.
