City manager Paul Anderson told the commission the school district has no plans for the 2.2-acre property and was looking to donate it to the city. GLISSON [email protected] HURLEY — A reconstruction project for U.S. 51 is aiming to launch in spring 2024, according to an update provided at Tuesday evening’s Hurley City Council meeting. Accordingly, council members voted to approve a related agreement with MSA Professional Services for an estimated fee of $240,000.     IRONWOOD, Mich. - George Howard Plaistow of Ironwood went to eternal life on Dec. 3, 2023, at St. Mary's Hospital in Duluth, Minnesota. George was born Dec. 12, 1947, to Howard and Ruth Plaistow of Ironwood. George attended the Ironwood schools and went into the service and served in Vietnam. He became a member of the Ironwood American Legion and later served as commander following in his father's footsteps.
