IRONWOOD- 14 year Air Force Veteran, and longtime Ironwood resident Murray Morgan travelled to Arlington National Cemetery Saturday Dec. 14 along with 40 other truck drivers as a part of Wreaths Across America. Morgan served as an ambassador for Halvor Lines Trucking, Superior, his employer. IRONWOOD- Auditions for "Rumbo," by Cynthia Mercati began Wednesday evening at the Ironwood Theatre, a production of local high school aged teens. The slapstick comedy will be performed in February, Director Mary Hansen said. Rehearsals will be twice a week, on Mondays and Thursdays, until the performance. AURORA, Minn. — Robert C. Osborne “Ozzie,” 88, of Hoyt Lakes, died Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2013, at Essentia Health Northern Pines Hospital in Aurora, surrounded by his family. Bob was born on Dec. 2, 1925, in Ironwood, Mich., to Richard and Keturah Osborne. He attended Ironwood schools and graduated from Luther L. Wright High School in 1944. MARSHFIELD, Wis. - Anton "Tony" Pertile, 79, of Bessemer, Mich., passed away peacefully at St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield Sunday morning, Dec. 15, 2013, surrounded by his loving family.
