    BESSEMER — On Wednesday the Gogebic County Sheriff’s Department released the identify of a woman who was found dead in Bessemer last week. Quinn Erin Archer, 31, of Detroit Lakes, was found Dec. 11 in a house on the 1600 block of South Hadley Street in the city after Gogebic County Sheriff’s Department deputies received a 911 call at 1:20 p.m. Upon arriving at the scene, officers found an unresponsive woman, later identified as Archer.   • Nousiainen named to Ontonagon County Board

    ONTONAGON - The Ontonagon County Board has a new commissioner. On Tuesday, the county board selected Robert Nousiainen, of Bruce Crossing, to represent district 3, including Rockland, Stannard and Interior Townships. He replaces David Nykanen, who died just a short time after his election to the board last month. Nousiainen will serve out the remainder of the term, which will be one year and a month.
