    OMA, Wis. — Deputies from the Iron County Sheriff’s Office took a man into custody late Thursday evening after a report of a domestic disturbance at a Oma residence turned into an armed standoff with authorities. According to the release from Sheriff Paul Samardich, deputies were called to the scene of a domestic disturbance at 11:30 p.m., where the informant said both parties had been drinking. Eugene was the loving husband of Alice (Tulppo) Johnson for 59 years.     BRUCE CROSSING, Mich. - Maria "Kathy" (Jacobson) Nousiainen, 70, of Bruce Crossing, passed away on Dec. 13, 2021, at Marquette General Hospital. Kathy was born in Ontonagon, to Norman and Mary Jacobson on Oct. 1, 1951. She went to school at Ewen High School, where she graduated in 1969. She married Michael Nousiainen on Oct. 5, 1991. Ronald was born on Jan. 8, 1939, in Ironwood, a son of John and Esther (Erickson) Chipperi. He was employed at Netz Glove Factory, Schult Mobile Homes and Ironwood Products.
