    IRONWOOD — Near zero temperatures that arrived on Monday on the Gogebic Range are helping firm snowmobile trails, according to area groomers. The wet spots under the snow are beginning to freeze, setting a solid base for grooming the trails. The more than five feet of snowfall in November insulated water in low spots on the trails. The low for the 24-hour period to 7 a.m. Monday in Ironwood was 2 degrees.     IRONWOOD — While 2014 marked an extremely busy year in Ironwood, city manager Scott Erickson said it will pale in comparison to 2015. She was born on Nov. 17, 1933, in Phillips, daughter of the late Edward and Delia (Plyer) Schilling. On Nov. 17, 1951, she married William Hotchkiss in Ironwood, Mich. Christine worked at various places throughout the northwoods including the original Lakeland Memorial Hospital as the head of laundry.
