BERGLAND, Mich. - Michael A. Streeter, 71, a longtime resident of Bergland, passed away on Monday, June 13, 2022, at his home, surrounded by his loving family. Mike was born on June 16, 1950, in Ontonagon, a son of Arthur Elmer and Elizabeth "Betty" (Davies) Streeter. On June 26, 1971, Mike married Janice M. Lyberg in L'Anse. Chris Ouellette, a spokesperson for Xcel Energy based in Eau Claire, said Tuesday morning in an email at 10:30 a.m. that 4,700 customers were without power in Gogebic and Ontonagon counties in Michigan and Iron and Vilas counties in Wisconsin. BERGLAND, Mich - Chief Thomas Louis Paulman, 63, passed away on May 1, 2022, after a long battle with his medical conditions. Tom was born in Wakefield on Oct. 18, 1958, to Louis and Barbara Paulman. Tom served in the U.S. Coast Guard from 1976 to 1980. He worked for many communities as water superintendent including Bergland and Trout Creek.
