    IRONWOOD TOWNSHIP - Seventh graders from Bessemer's A.D. Johnston Middle School recently attended a snowshoeing and winter survival field trip at Wolverine Nordic Trails in Ironwood Township. The field trip was led by Brian Doughty of Michigan Tech as one of MTU's winter field trip offerings.     BESSEMER — The Gogebic County Road Commission announced Monday that spring weight restrictions will take effect for county roads as of noon Thursday. A 5-ton limit will be enforced on all local county roads, according to the announcement, due to the minimal surface support and susceptibility of frost heave on the local roads — including the gravel roads.
