HURLEY, Wis. — Peter J. Montonati passed away peacefully in his home on Wednesday, May 17, 2023. Born March 26, 1939, to Peter Montonati and Lucy (Tuoro) Montonati, Peter was the eldest of three siblings. While attending Bessemer Schools and Gogebic Community College Peter helped his father run the family auto repair business, eventually taking over the business. The report was presented by Kathy Jo Koval, the county’s equalization director.
