After a Friday registration day in Greenland, the fair kicked in to provide a large variety of activities for people of all interests. Saturday included cattle-sorting, a trout pond, a livestock clinic, a mock rodeo, and live music by Jack Jolliff and Bosch 9, along with games, crafts and vendors. WAKEFIELD, Mich. - Clifford Mark Johns, 67, of Wakefield, died on Monday, May 1, 2023, in Bessemer. Mark was born to Kenneth and Bertha (Mikkola) Johns in Wakefield, on Dec. 13, 1955. He graduated from Wakefield High School in 1974, where he was very active in track and field. WAKEFIELD, Mich. - June L. Wienandt, 95, of Wakefield, died on Thursday, July 20, 2023, at the Gogebic Medical Care Facility in Wakefield. She entered the nursing home on May 5, 2023.
