BRUCE CROSSING - VFW members in Bruce Crossing recently erected a new sign in front of the post on M-28. The sign, which cost more than $1,000, according to Roger Anttilla, commander of the Henry A. IRONWOOD - A new executive order from Gov. Gretchen Whitmer has theaters and bowling alleys preparing to open months before it was thought possible, along with more possibilities for outdoor events. Two executive orders signed on Sept. 25 will amend the MI Safe Start order to reopen theaters, cinemas and other performance venues starting Oct. 9. EWEN, Mich. - George E. Wolfe, 83, of Ewen, passed away Friday, Aug. 21, 2020, at his home. George was born July 14, 1937, on South Baltimore Road of Bruce Crossing, to James Edward and Ingrid Elizabeth (Korsman) Wolfe. MARENISCO - Renewal of a U.S. 2 bridge over the Presque Isle River continues directly east of the M-64 turn-off to the unincorporated area of Marenisco.
