HURLEY, Wis. — David Dale “Chief” Khoury, 74, of Hurley, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Aug. 12, 2021. David was born Nov. 5, 1946, in Wakefield, Michigan, to June Martin and Dale Khoury. He attended Union Grove High School in Union Grove, Wisconsin, and graduated in 1965. He then entered military service in the U.S. Navy on April 5, 1966. On Dec. 12, 1970, he married Deidre Zirzow of Silver Lake, Wisconsin, with whom he shared 20 years of marriage and two children. IRONWOOD TOWNSHIP, Mich. - Russell Saari, 81, a lifelong resident of Ironwood Township, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 11, 2021, with his family by his side. Russell was born on May 18, 1940, to Arvo and Marian (Kooping) Saari. He attended Roosevelt School and graduated from Luther L. Wright High School in 1958.
