She, one of four children, was born on Jan. 12, 1928, in Plum City, to Fred and Clara Zeilinger and joined a great generation. HURLEY, Wis. — Jeanne C. Thomas, 78, of Gile, lost her battle with cancer on Oct. 3, 2022, at her home. She was born on Nov. 1, 1943, in Lake City, Florida, to Hugh and Matilee (Flynn) Casper. She was the oldest of eight children. She was born into a military family and spent most of her time in Virginia where she eventually met her husband of 42 years, William Thomas.
