    GILE, Wis. - Allan R. "Sonny" Wicklund, 76, formerly a long-time resident of Gile, passed away early Saturday morning, Nov. 18, 2017. Allan was born on Jan. 28, 1941, at home in Gile during a snowstorm, a son of Allan Jalmer and Enid Unelma (Norena) Wicklund. From 1974 to 2014, Sonny enjoyed working at the Look Up Sheltered Workshop and then at the Highline Corporation, both in Hurley. For 20 years, he volunteered as a bell ringer for the Paavo Nurmi Marathon. It was a very special day for him.... Full story
