In February, the county board passed a resolution supporting submission of an application to the Michigan Natural Resources Trust Fund for development of the three-mile non-motorized recreational trail.     HURLEY — Despite having some of the highest concentration of sugar maple forests in the country, northern Wisconsin and the western Upper Peninsula lack a strong commercial maple syrup industry.
