Iron County Emergency Dispatch received a call reporting the crash with a woman under water at 8:42 p.m. Friday, but was unable to get a specific location about the scene of the crash from the initial caller, Iron County Sheriff Paul Samardich said in a news release Saturday. The county has had 712 confirmed positive cases and 294 additional probable cases, according to the Western Upper Peninsula Health Department’s Monday update, for a total of 1,006 cases since the presence of the virus was first confirmed in the area in March.
