In the aftermath of warm weather and temperatures above 50 degrees this past weekend, the Iron County Snowmobile and ATV/UTV Trails were closed for the winter season at 8 a.m. on Monday. MERCER, Wis. - Carl Walter "Farmer" Grulkowski, 92, of Mercer, passed away on March 5, 2022, at his home in Mercer. Carl was born Nov. 4, 1929, in Stevens Point, the son of Joseph and Maria (Herek) Grulkowski. After high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and served in the Korean Conflict.
