HURLEY — A pair of men are facing charges related to a number of burglaries in the region, including two in southern Iron County, the Iron County Sheriff’s Office announced Thursday. Larry J. MERCER, Wis. — Raymond P. Zelinski, 93, of Mercer, passed away Thursday, Oct. 1, 2020. Ray was born on Aug. 31, 1927, in Rothschild, to Peter and Stella (Pollock) Zelinski, the seventh child in a family of 14 children. During World War II, Ray proudly served his country in the U.S. Army Air Corps on Okinawa as an airplane mechanic. In 1982, he was married to Maxine Peter.
