The resolution should have been a discussion item but was added as an action item on the agenda, said board chair Joseph Pinardi. HURLEY, Wis. - Carol Westeen, 83, passed away on June 11, 2021. She was born on March 9, 1938, to Emil and Sylvia Sorvala of Hurley, Wisconsin. Carol was a lifelong resident of the Ironwood and Hurley area. Carol attended grade school in Montreal and then graduated from Hurley High School in 1956.
