HURLEY, Wis. - Virginia Mae (Clement) Carpenter, age 93, passed away peacefully at the Villa Maria Health and Rehabilitation Center in Hurley on Sept. 23, 2022. Born on Aug. 11, 1929, Virginia was the daughter of Joseph and Gladys Clement. She grew up in Saxon, and was a long-time resident of Ironwood Township, Michigan. ONTONAGON, Mich. - Thomas J. Hamilton, 83, left this earth on the beautiful Saturday morning of Sept. 17, 2022. He was surrounded by his children as he passed away peacefully in a place that he held in his heart and soul as "sacred ground," his dad's cottage on Rose Island in Ontonagon. Skip was born Feb. 9, 1930, in Rice Lake, the son of Richard and Agnes (Fligel) Wick.
