HANCOCK — More than 20 people in Gogebic County have died related to the coronavirus pandemic, the Western Upper Peninsula Health Department reported Monday, as local health officials continue to work to limit the spread of the virus. ONTONAGON, Mich. — Clarence W. Linna passed away on Sunday, Nov. 15, at Aspirus Long Term Care in Ontonagon at the age of 87. Clarence was born in Bruce Crossing and lived there nearly all of his life. After graduating from Ewen High School, he married Alice Korri and they spent six years in Mt. Clemens, where he completed trade school to become a tool and die maker. They returned to Bruce’s in 1957 and he worked at White Pine Copper for the following 35 years until his retirement.
