City commissioners agreed Monday to seek the bids as part of $21,000 that has been budgeted for safety around the sites, including sinkholes. The council authorized MSA Professional Services, the city’s engineering company, to apply for the Community Development Block Grant. BESSEMER - The Gogebic County Sheriff's Department announced Friday Marcella Boline has retired as coordinator for the Gogebic County Sheriff's Victim Service Unit. Boline began working for the unit as its coordinator 12 years ago. She said she was inspired to join the unit after being in a rollover accident in Canada.
