WATERSMEET — The Gogebic-Iron Area Narcotics team on Thursday executed a search warrant in Watersmeet Township and arrested 29-year-old Elizabeth McGeshick. The investigation began in March, according to GIANT, and involved a number on individuals. During the search of a residence, officers found around 10 grams of crack cocaine, prescribed medication and money. The DNR said Tuesday data suggests the wolf population may have begun to stabilize, however. Data collected by more than 100 volunteer trackers and DNR staff members during the 2017-18 winter reveal a minimum count of 844 to 925 wolves, a 2.2 percent decrease from the previous count. Ira Asher Wilson-Johnson pleaded guilty to possession with intent to deliver marijuana in one case and possession with intent to deliver cocaine in a second case at Tuesday’s hearing.
