HURLEY — The Hurley Area Chamber of Commerce raised around $3,000 for the Hurley Fire Department’s All-Terrain Vehicle-Snowmobile Rescue Unit at Saturday’s Festival Italiano. The Iron County Memorial Building is accepting donations Tuesday-Thursday from 9:00 a.m., until complete daily, for the Hurricane Harvey relief effort. Volunteers are asked to come and assist with packing and loading the truck all three days. The 26 foot truck leaves for Dickinson, TX on Friday. IRONWOOD — A twist has been added to the city of Ironwood’s bow deer hunt this year. Deer heads will be collected to be checked for chronic wasting disease, the city commission learned on Monday.
