Matt Sterbenz was promoted to sergeant over the summer after Ron Carpenedo retired.     Gurney, Wis. — The construction of a bridge over Vaughn Creek to reopen Wisconsin 169 begins Monday, after a section of the roadway was washed out during the July 11 storm. The Gogebic Community College Board approved an $8,000 purchase of two adaptive sit-skis that will allow paraplegic and quadriplegic individuals to ski at Mount Zion.
