IRONWOOD — The Ironwood Public Safety Department will hold a community awareness program at Luther L. Wright from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, according to a department announcement. BESSEMER — Two men and a woman were arrested in Bessemer Thursday on charges of delivery/possession with intent to deliver heroin and methamphetamine, according to a Gogebic Iron Area Narcotics Team news release. ROCKLAND — The Ontonagon County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a fatal snowmobile accident by Negaunee Regional dispatch Wednesday evening at 10:35. The accident occurred on Trail 12, 1/4 mile south of Old Victoria Rd. in Rockland Township. The council authorized MSA Professional Services, the city’s engineering company, to apply for the Community Development Block Grant. All proceeds raised from the event benefit the annual Hurley Fireworks every July. This year, the 2.15 miles snowshoe race was rerouted from on the ice of the Gile Flowage to the woods through Gile Park.
