The March Iron jobless rate of 9.7 percent was better than the 10.6 percent of February, according to the Department of Workforce Development. In March 2015, the Iron County jobless rate was 10.7 percent. Ashland County improved from 7.8 percent in February to 7.6 percent in March, according to the DWD.     IRONWOOD — Two events related to the Ironwood stretch of the Iron Belle Trail are planned. Next Saturday at 10 a.m., a trail clean-up effort is planned. Volunteers will meet at Depot Park, behind the post office building, where they can pick up garbage bags and receive directions. According to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the levels of all of the Great Lakes were well above normal at the end of the month. Lake Superior was at 601.96 feet above sea level on March 31, compared to the long-term daily mean of 601.15 feet.     IRONWOOD TOWNSHIP — A 49-year-old Hurley man died in a Saturday afternoon kayaking accident on the Black River.
