MARQUETTE — Raymond Valentino Bowser, 31, of Chicago, was sentenced to five years in federal prison, U.S. Attorney Patrick Miles announced in a statement Friday. Bowser also received 12 years of supervised release. BESSEMER — The Mackinac Center for Public Policy recently presented Bessemer’s Washington Elementary School with an award for outstanding achievement. HURLEY — A Mercer, Wis., man who is charged with human trafficking and false imprisonment is scheduled to be arraigned in Iron County Court on March 31. Jason Sheehan, 29, is accused of forcing a deaf woman with a neurological disorder to eat mold, drink urine and eat cat feces.
