    WAKEFIELD — Members of the Wakefield City Council voted on Monday evening to submit an application for state grant funding that would help finance an expansion of the Eddy Park Campground. City Manager Robert Brown shared the news by phone on Tuesday and also explained some of the council’s modifications to the expansion plan. Snow on Friday, Saturday and into Sunday pushed the season total as measured at the Gogebic-Iron Wastewater Treatment Facility to 209.7 inches of snow. An additional 0.9 inches of snow over night into Wednesday pushed the new total to 210.6 inches.
