The committee has been considering using them to expand broadband services in the area. Darren Pionk, road commission engineer-manager, said the current garage in Bessemer is outdated and does not meet the road commission's needs. HURLEY — Security concerns have caused the planned move of the Iron County Health Department to the Hurley K-12 School to be called off. BESSEMER - The Gogebic County Sheriff's Department announced Friday Marcella Boline has retired as coordinator for the Gogebic County Sheriff's Victim Service Unit. Boline began working for the unit as its coordinator 12 years ago. She said she was inspired to join the unit after being in a rollover accident in Canada. IRONWOOD - The city of Ironwood has finally found a suitor to occupy the industrial park speculation building that was constructed in 2003. On Monday, the city commission will consider selling the building and lots to Scandinavian Log Homes, now located off U.S. 2 in Kimball, Wis. District administrator Chris Patritto told the school board on Monday that although a “very, very preliminary” estimated budget is in the planning stages, his “rough guess” is that the initial deficit the school board will face will be around $75,000.
