WAKEFIELD — The Wakefield-Marenisco Board of Education held its budget/truth-in-taxation hearing Monday night before the regular board meeting. Business Manager Tina Trevarthen and Superintendent Catherine Shamion reported on the final 2014-15 budget amendments as well as the 2015-16 budget. ONTONAGON — Ontonagon residents will be able to get their marine weather information close to home under an agreement signed by the Ontonagon Village Council Monday. BESSEMER - The Bessemer School Board approved the proposed budget for the 2015-16 school year on Monday. The board heard the district received revenues of $3,843,584 for the 2014-15 school year and expenditures were $3,914,167. The fund balance at the beginning of the 2014-15 year was $216,538.
