  • Ironwood moves ahead with Aurora plat project

    IRONWOOD — The Ironwood City Commission decided Tuesday to move ahead with an Aurora land platting project. City officials had budgeted $20,600 for platting residences in the Aurora neighborhood that are currently under the ownership of the Aurora Land Association, but the commission instead agreed to pay half the total costs, which could amount to $17,500.     HURLEY — The Iron County Board of Supervisors approved a plan Tuesday to contract with Iron County Sheriff's Department deputy Darrell Petrusha to continue maintaining the county's radio equipment once he retires from the sheriff's department. Petrusha told the county's Finance Committee May 14, he has been maintaining the county's radios since 1989 and wanted to continue to use his expertise to help the county.     IRONWOOD — The Gogebic Range Solid Waste Management Authority Board approved hiring a specialized accountant at the board’s May 12 meeting, to provide the board with insight into the financial implications of Bessemer’s decision to leave the authority.
