Aurora Street will be closed from 2 to 10 p.m. between Lowell and Suffolk for a Historic Ironwood Theatre “Grease” sing-along retro celebration that will also include a Klassic Kruisers antique auto show.     Highway projects are gearing up in the Upper Peninsula with the warmer weather. The Michigan Department of Transportation said a mammoth three-part M-28 resurfacing project, including from near Wakefield to Bergland, will begin on Monday and run through July 31.     Iron County lagged behind other northern Wisconsin counties in 2014 in attracting tourism, according to the Wisconsin Department of Tourism. State officials said tourism spending of $18.9 million in Iron County in 2013 increased to $19 million in 2014, or .65 percent. That lagged far behind the increases in neighboring counties, however. Oneida County showed the greatest area increase in tourism spending, from $196.9 million in 2013 to $207.5 million, or 5.4 percent.     WAKEFIELD - By a margin of just 58 votes, voters within the boundaries of the Wakefield-Marenisco School District approved the district's request for a 0.6 mill increase to fund the purchase of new school buses for the district.     IRONWOOD — April turned out to be an average month, weather-wise, in Ironwood, but the yearly mean temperature is down. According to figures compiled at the National Weather Service office in Marquette, the average April temperature in Ironwood was 39.8 degrees, compared to the long-term average of 39.3. The highest average on record is 50.3 degrees in 1915, while the lowest was 30.2 in 1907.
