    BESSEMER - This year, Bessemer's high school Science Olympiad team, with 36 total players including alternates, won first place in the Upper Peninsula regional competition at Northern Michigan University in Marquette in February. The junior high team took second place. Both are moving on to the 2015 State Tournament on May 2 at Michigan State University in East Lansing.     ERWIN TOWNSHIP - Roughly 120 children participated in the Lapset Loppet, the final event of the 2015 Sisu Ski Fest, at the ABR Ski Trails on Tuesday.     BESSEMER — The Gogebic County Board of Commissioners on Wednesday agreed to call for bids on a new roof on the annex to the courthouse. The building and grounds committee recommended seeking bids. The bid opening will be on March 23, according to Tom Laabs, of Ironwood, chair of the committee.
