BESSEMER - Big Powderhorn Mountain Resort hosted the Midwest Cat Clowder all day Saturday. Vintage sno-cats and groomers were on display at the base of the hill. After a horrid November produced numerous snowstorms, the Gogebic Range has settled into a relatively normal winter. In fact, January's snowfall of 21.6 inches in Ironwood was about half the long-term norm of 44.2 inches for the month. WAKEFIELD - A faulty transformer at Xcel Energy's Ironwood substation led to the 26-hour power outage in parts of Wakefield on Jan. 23-24, according to city manager Margot Anderson.
