Participation was up this year with 43 vendor tables and spaces as well as several activities for kids. There was a fishpond for kids to fish out a prize as well as a face-painting booth. An auxiliary spokeswoman said the members of Post 9084 worked hard this year to bring these little extras to Saturday's event and their hard work paid off, with lots of kids...

    IRONWOOD - The Ironwood snow total since Monday climbed to 37.7 inches on Friday. The 7 a.m. Friday 24-hour reading was 7.2 inches at the Gogebic-Iron Wastewater Treatment Plant off Cloverland Drive.     IRONWOOD - Volunteers are gearing up for the ninth annual Santa's Headquarters. Since 2006, a committee of local residents volunteers to help provide gifts for area children during Christmas.     IRONWOOD — The city of Ironwood is launching its own facade improvement program. The city plans to spend $2,500 matching facade improvements to four downtown buildings.
