    IRONWOOD — The Ironwood City Commission will consider a $150,000 Christmas gift at Monday’s meeting. Mark and Denise Stephens, of Bessemer, would like to donate common stock to the city with an approximate value of $150,000 to be used for an electric ice and edging machine for the Patrick O’Donnell Civic Center rink. The city owns the center, which is on the campus of Gogebic Comminuty College. The donation must be acted on by Dec. 31. High school Spanish students held the annual La Festival de Navidad at the Hurley K-12 School Friday, mixing Spanish customs with the holiday season.     IRONWOOD- 14 year Air Force Veteran, and longtime Ironwood resident Murray Morgan travelled to Arlington National Cemetery Saturday Dec. 14 along with 40 other truck drivers as a part of Wreaths Across America. Morgan served as an ambassador for Halvor Lines Trucking, Superior, his employer. This year 2,000 volunteers at Arlington laid 3,168 wreaths, with 143,000 wreaths across the country at other locations, Morgan said.     IRONWOOD- Auditions for "Rumbo," by Cynthia Mercati began Wednesday evening at the Ironwood Theatre, a production of local high school aged teens. The slapstick comedy will be performed in February, Director Mary Hansen said. Rehearsals will be twice a week, on Mondays and Thursdays, until the performance.     HURLEY - A 53-year-old former Oma, Wis,, man was freed from a 42-year prison sentence Monday in Iron County Court. Donald Miller, who had been sentenced on a first-degree sexual assault with a dangerous weapon count in 1998, had that charge amended to a third-degree sexual assault charge, which carries a nine-year sentence.     BESSEMER - More than a dozen children spent Saturday morning making tasty creations during a gingerbread program through the Bessemer Public Library.     BESSEMER - Twenty-five people braved sub-zero temperatures to carol on an old-fashioned hayride as part of Bessemer's community Christmas party, departing from the VFW Sunday afternoon.
