HURLEY – The Kimball Volunteer Fire Department held its 32nd annual turkey dinner fundraiser at the Kimball Community Center Sunday afternoon. The cost was $9 for adults and $4 for children ages 5 to 12. This year, 4-H students helped serve dinner to the masses. Average attendance is about 1,000 people. NIE is a national program, with thousands of newspapers across the U.S. supplying papers to classrooms. The Globe delivers 485 newspapers each week to 12 different schools in Gogebic, Iron and Ontonagon counties. The papers are used in 30 classrooms in a variety of ways.
