Taylor ran for 64 yards in his NFL debut, and the Arizona Cardinals exposed several trouble spots for the Green Bay Packers in a 17-0 preseason win Friday night. Carson Palmer and Drew Stanton each threw for a touchdown against a Packers secondary that had trouble containing anybody, and Arizona’s aggressive new defense had three sacks, one interception and one forced fumble. “You just try to... CLEVELAND (AP) — Justin Verlander recently watched videotape of his 2011 season, when he was the AL’s MVP and noticed he wasn’t pitching the way he had back then — dominating, overpowering, nearly unhittable. Verlander made an adjustment. And made the Indians look silly. Verlander toyed with Cleveland’s lineup for eight innings and Don Kelly hit a three-run homer off Justin Masterson, leading the Detroit Tigers to their 10th straight win, 5-1 over the Indians, who can’t seem to beat the one tea... ALLEN PARK (AP) — Havard Rugland has not missed a kick in game-like conditions during Detroit Lions training camp, including a 58-yard field goal that got everyone’s attention that saw or heard it. “That big boot? He’s legit,” teammate Nate Burleson said. “Kickalicious is for real. He isn’t just an Internet sensation.” Even though the Norwegian made all 11 of his field goals in 11-on-11 situations in a three-day period, he still seems like a longshot to beat out David Akers. “He’s done an i...
