IRONWOOD, Mich. — Robert N. DeRosier, 94, of Hurley, Wis., died Thursday, April 11, 2013, in Ironwood. He was born March 4, 1919, in Calumet, son of the late Caroline DeRosier.
Robert resided in the Detroit area for many years. From 1978 until 1995, he resided in White Pine. Since 1995 he had lived in the Ironwood/Hurley area.
He was united in marriage with Isabelle E. Huffman. She preceded him in death in May, 1964.
Robert was a veteran of World War II, serving in the United States Army. He was awarded the Purple Heart.
Robert is survived by one son, Charles DeRosier, of Deer Park, N.Y .; three daughters, Linda Macigewski, of Hurley, Wis., Beverly DeRosier, of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Brenda (Warren) Richardson, of Far Rockway, N.Y .; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife and mother, Robert was preceded in death by one daughter, Judith Zaccor, in 1996.
Cremation has taken place at the Range Crematory in Hurley. A private family funeral service was held.
Arrangements are by Range Funeral Service and Crematory, Ketola-Burla Funeral Home in Ironwood.
