TOMAHAWK, Wis. — Darlene J. (nee Mauer) Follett, of Mercer, passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2013, at Golden Living Center in Tomahawk.
Darlene was born on Sept. 25, 1933, in Richfield to Franklin and Mildred Maurer. She graduated from Hartford High School, class of 1952, and attended Carroll College. She was a member of 4H.
She married Eugene “Gene” Follett on May 7, 1955. Darlene loved cats and enjoyed tending to house plants and her garden. She cherished time spent with her family and pets.
She is survived by her husband, Gene; children, Dawn Follett, of West Bend, John (Sarah) Follett, of West Bend, and Mark (Barbara), of Mosinee; siblings, William (Mary) Maurer, of Richfield, and Doris (Tom) Lepien, of Hartford; grandchildren, Sarah, Eric, Luchie, Gabby, Erin and Stephen; great-grandchildren, Austin and Max. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Karl.
The funeral service will be held on Monday, April 22, at 2 p.m. at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel at 1420 W. Paradise Drive in West Bend, with Rev. Gary Uttech presiding. Visitation will be on Monday at the funeral home from noon until the time of service.
Interment will immediately follow at Washington County Memorial Park.
