HURLEY HIGH School students Friday help fill sandbags in preparation for potential flooding throughout Iron County. More than 30 students joined community members in the effort. Iron County Emergency Management Director Stacy Ofstad commended the work of the students and community members for their help with the sandbags. “I can’t say enough about them,” he said. “Everyone did great.” Ofstad also said that sandbags will be available for every municipality in the county that needs them. JROTC students at Luther L. Wright High School also assisted city of Ironwood workers with sandbags Friday. Weekend temperatures will be in the 60s.
