Cardinal athletes honored

The Wakefield-Marenisco Athletic Booster Club 68th Annual All-Sports Banquet was held at the VFW Lakeshore Veterans Hall in Wakefield on Sunday. Senior award and scholarship winners included from left: Eric Lane (Matt Ahonen Memorial scholarship, Donnie Krznarich Memorial scholarship, James Daniels scholarship, Duane Lane scholarship, Dennis “Gabby” Brunelle athletic scholarship and Booster Club scholarship); Bethany Engel (Dennis “Gabby” Brunelle athletic scholarship, Booster Club scholarship and First National Bank of Wakefield Marathon scholarship); Kailey Korpi (Matt Ahonen Memorial scholarship, Joe Vestich Memorial award and Booster Club scholarship); Aaron Fetters (Joe Vestich Memorial award and Booster Club scholarship); Caleb Winkler (Donnie Krznarich Memorial scholarship and Booster Club scholarship); Alex Coubal (Rusty Hearns Memorial award) and Mackenzie Saubert (Rusty Hearns Memorial award).
