Serving Gogebic, Iron and Ontonagon Counties

Darin Michael Annonson

WAKEFIELD, Mich. — Darin Michael Annonson, of Wakefield, passed away one day before his 51st birthday on June 10, 2013. Darin fought a courageous battle for many years against his illness.

Darin worked in the tree service industry and several odd jobs until he was no longer physically able to.

He loved living in the Upper Peninsula’s vast outdoors, as he very much enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was also an accomplished cook that so enjoyed the ability to bless others with his gift. He also loved riding his Harley and ATV with his many friends.

We will miss his sense of humor and his compassion for others. It was a joy for him to help and serve his family and friends. Through all that he faced with his illness, he rarely complained. He will be deeply missed by all those who were privileged to know him and love him.

He was preceded in death by his father, Richard; a daughter, Leanne; his brothers, Kevin, Marty, Dale, Ryan and Gregory; and his grandparents, Ida Sjoblom Berg and Grace Annonson.

Darin is survived by his mom, Margie Sjoblom; sister, Lynn Osier (Donnie); niece, Nina; nephew, Jacob; his special auntie, Mary Marten; and numerous relatives.

A memorial service will be held at Cornerstone Christian Church in Ramsay on Saturday, June 15, with visitation at 10 a.m. and the service starting at 11 a.m.

A luncheon will immediately follow in the church fellowship hall.

The family would like to thank the many that have reached out to Darin and made a difference in his life.
