A LIGHTNING storm around 4:30 p.m. Thursday flooded the McLeod Avenue-Lowell Street intersection near the Daily Globe parking lot as the storm sewer catch basins couldn’t keep up with the deluge. Just when it appeared a wild weather year had settled down and the ground was drying up, the forecast for Ironwood is for thunderstorms through Sunday, with an 80 percent chance of rain today and 60 percent on Saturday.
